I dare anyone to produce a picture of a Bull shark CAUGHT ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, ON A SCALE & OVER 700 LBS ,,,,,,,oh and that includes Mr Christopher Deaver of txsharksfishin.

"Bull sharks are extremely large both in length and weight. They have quite demeanor about them. They can be approximately 12 feet in length and up to 1,700 pounds. They are gray on the top and white on the bottom. They also feature two dorsal fins, one that is large and one that is about 1/3 that size."

1700 lbs ?Do you mean 1000 lbs?

Yea it 1000, finger where going to fast.
Sorry.

I think those big bulls over there just cruise on the bottom of the middle (deep part) and slurp up baits all day, feed like catfish

Just an average fisherman.

9. Unofficial World Record Bull Shark (700 lb)

The official International Game Fish Association (IGFA) record for a bull shark (Carcharhinus leucas) is a 697 lb 12 oz fish caught off Kenya in 2001 by an angler named Ronald de Jager. However, the bull shark pictured here could very well have beaten that record. It was caught by Ed Maloney, who was just fishing off the seawall behind his cousin Frank Maloney’s home in St. Petersburg, FL. The two Maloney’s couldn’t land the fish themselves, so they had to call Frank’s next door neighbor for help. Together, the three of them landed the 8 ft 10 in 700 pounder. Since they didn’t have a certified scale, there was no way of verifying the weight, and thus no way of obtaining official world-record status.

1000lb 13 foot Bull

Was this actually measures? I honestly don't believe this bull was 600+ because i have seen a picture of that shark from a different angle and with about a 5'11-6ft guy around 200 lbs standing next to it and i didn't look like 600lbs+ at all. This is just my opinion and i could and most likely am wrong

Anyone else?

NICE FIND OF ADDITIONAL PICS OF THE NOT ANYWHERE NEAR 600 LB BULL.Pictures can be Liars so more thorough research is needed to get to the truth ,,,,when someone claims somethinhg so far out of the ordinary it is Ok to question it and ask for more proof -such is the case of the supposed 13 foot S Africa (Breede River) Bull shark. I personally am not convinced of reported 13 foot length -it would be more convincing if we had #1 MORE PICTURES WITH THE WHOLE SHARK IN VIEW(none have been published or reported),#2 A TAPE MEASURE WOULD BE PROOF POSITIVE and that wouild bring lots more credibility to those that claim that the Bull shark was actually 13 feet long.

Even scientist want to get there '15 minutes of fame' and well known in their particular field of work, and they sometimes come out with outlandish claims just to get RECOGNIZED BY THERE PEERS .

I completely agree with Will, Bulls get big but pictures can be deceiving. The angle you take the picture from to the distance the shark is from something you are referencing the size to.

For example

this shark was caught by my friend Miles and was shy of 6ft, in the pic it looks like it dwarfs 6 ft to me though

IMO more then one pic if needed to determine size (A reference close to it, it lying straight and a close up)

In river monsters they catch a bull and weighed it with certification. It was over 500 lbs.....and I can tell you I have seen two other bulls that were about 4-6 inches shorter than his, but DWARFED it in girth.....
